CARL — Code Automation Readiness Level — is a free-to-read proprietary standard (UNLICENSED / all rights reserved) for measuring how AI-ready your software delivery is. It is not an open-source public license and not a launched certification product.
The standard is published free to read at carl.wentzel.ai, where the public reference scanner runs free, rate-limited demo scans against any public GitHub repository. The hosted assessor is in single-operator lockdown and still under development — not open to customers. Do not present CARL as certified, ratified, or as a third-party accreditation.
